Roger Collins

I grew up here in Aztec. I married my high school sweetheart, Robin, in 1994, so we have been together for many years and have had a lot of good times together. We have a son, Carson, and a daughter, Cassie, and the two cutest grandsons ever. Carson works here at the clinic as a Physical Therapist. Cassie is a cosmetologist currently seeing clients at Three Rivers Estates Senior Living in Farmington.

My favorite and most rewarding part of the job is witnessing patients’ success in our

clinic. That never gets old. Also, seeing our therapists being excited about the progress

of patients they are working with who are meeting therapy goals. My day-to-day experience is very gratifying. We have a tremendous staff who collaborate and work toward the best interest of each patient. It is very rewarding to see patient improvement on a weekly basis. 

I suffered a sports-related injury in high school and did physical therapy in Durango because Aztec did not have a clinic all those years ago. The physical therapist that I did my rehab with was high-energy and emphasized sports medicine management to help me return to sports. Because of his influence, I pursued a degree in Sports Medicine. I attended New Mexico State University back in the day and received my BS in Athletic Training / Sports Medicine. 

 I enjoy various activities/sports. Currently I am riding mountain or road bikes on a regular basis. I enjoy participating in the Iron Horse, the Road Apple Rally, and the Alien Mountain bike race. I will eventually get back to golfing and would like to play pickleball more regularly. 

My current favorite snack is creatine gummies.
